Wes Huber is the father of the main protagonist, Jude, and the reason he came to America.
History[]
Wes Huber was an American G.I. who met Martha Feeny while he was stationed at Burtonwood. By the time he left, she was pregnant with their son Jude without his knowledge. She didn't tell him because she felt that if he stayed it would not prove that he loved her but that he felt obligated.
At least 18 years later, Wes, a married man with two other children, works as a janitor for Princeton. Jude appears before him and tells him that he is his long-lost son. Wes and Jude both agree to keep their secret hidden from Wes's family, both not wanting to derail his life.
Wes, upon discovering that his son is in jail for unintentionally being involved in a riot, visits him in jail and attempts to have him released. The police agree to not press charges against him but Wes does not have the proof necessary to keep him from being deported.

Wes met Martha while stationed in Burtonwood. They slept together and she became pregnant. They haven't seen each other since.
Current Family[]
Since his relationship with Martha at least 18 years ago, Wes has gotten married to an unnamed woman and has had two children with her. Neither his wife nor his children know of Jude's existence.
